BRACKET SEMI-FINALS

(93) 2004 Utah - 34
(164) 1995 Colorado - 33
Quarterback John Hessler had a big game, throwing for 368 yards and 4 touchdowns. But the Buffaloes couldn't stop Utah from scoring and came up a point shy of the victory.

(292) 2003 Georgia - 16
(36) 2008 Florida - 31
David Greene provided the lone highlight in the ballgame for Georgia with a 56-yard play action touchdown pass to Fred Gibson in the first quarter. From then on it was all Florida in the Cocktail party.

BRACKET FINAL

(93) 2004 Utah - 25
(36) 2008 Florida - 35
Urban Meyer's best Utah team vs Urban Meyer's best Florida team - an interesting matchup that featured quarterbacks Tim Tebow and Alex Smith.

This one was actually decided by the Gator special teams, though. Florida's special teams unit put together the following impressive stat line for the game: one blocked punt for a safety; one blocked field goal attempt; and one punt return for touchdown by Brandon James.

Florida's speed was simply too much for the Utes to handle. QB Alex Smith was constantly running for his life, but he still managed to put together a couple impressive scoring drives. One ended with a touchdown pass to Paris Warren, the other with a touchdown run by WR Steve Savoy.

The Gators answered with 321 rushing yards, much of which came on big plays. Chris Rainey scored on a 63-yard touchdown run in the second quarter and Tebow finished with 93 yards on the ground.

At the end of the day, Urban Meyer's Florida team just had way more talent and speed than his Utah team.

2008 Florida (#36 overall seed) advances to the Bracket of Champions. The Gators will face the winner of Bracket 29 in the first round.
