(277) 1988 Auburn - 14
Outland Trophy winner Tracy Rocker couldn't do it all for Auburn as they fell to one of the best teams in the league.
(364) 1991 Texas A&M - 27
(108) 2008 Oklahoma - 35
The Aggies missed a golden opportunity when Bucky Richardson threw an interception in the closing minutes. Richardson and WRs Tony Harrison and Brian Mitchell all had big days and came up just short of a huge upset.
(21) 1991 Washington - 34
(108) 2008 Oklahoma - 28
The Oklahoma offense scored a ton of points during the 2008 season, but they didn't have to face many defenses like the one Don James brought to the table here.
Much like Texas and Florida, the Huskies were able to control the line of scrimmage with superior play in the trenches. It's no surprise Steve Emtman was in the middle of everything. The All-Everything tackle made 8 tackles, including 2 sacks, and influenced more plays than you can count on the stat sheet.
Washington was also able to take advantage of the aggressive Sooner defense. In the first quarter Billy Joe Hobert threw a 54-yard touchdown pass to Mario Bailey on a play action that caught safety Lendy Holmes biting.
Bailey came up big again in the third quarter with a 62-yard touchdown catch that sent the Sooners reeling. Bailey finished the game with 6 receptions for 221 yards and 3 touchdowns.
1991 Washington (#21 overall seed) advances to the Bracket of Champions. The Huskies will face the winner of Bracket 44 in the first round.
